RBC I Time is quickly running out to get your tickets for the Pioneers Medical Center Annual Gala fundraiser event Saturday evening at the Freeman E. Fairfield Center in downtown Meeker.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. and will feature live music, casino-type gambling for fun, a silent auction and a dinner of flavorful foods from a variety of food “trucks.”
Some of the goodies on the dinner menu are street tacos, ragin’ Cajun jambalaya, Kansas City burnt ends, brown sugar bacon brats, a popcorn buffet and a dessert depot.
The fundraising event is being held with the proceeds supporting the purchase of a 3-D mammography machine, which assists with early detection of cancer.
Tickets are $40 each, and, if interested, persons are requested to contact Jamie Turner at Pioneers Medical Center by email at [email protected]
There will also be a “Coins for a Cause” event at the dinner. Attendees are urged to bring your quarters, dimes and nickels to vote on the “People’s Choice” of custom-decorated bras, courtesy of the Walbridge Wing volunteers, termed the Wingnuts.
Sponsors of the event are the Rio Blanco Herald Times, Mountain Valley Bank, White River Electric Association, Calloway-Young Cancer Center at Valley View, Enterprise Products, Meeker Sand & Gravel, Mountain Radiology, Natural Soda, Pioneers Medical Center, Employees of Pioneers Medical Center, Westlands, Brooks & Brooks PPC, ERBM Recreation and Park District, Colorado Northwestern Community College, Dingus, Zarecor & Associates CPA, Joy Surveying Co., Paramount Professionals and Rio Blanco Abstract Co.
