MEEKER I Do you have a little princess at home? Does she love sparkles, believe in magic and can sing Princess Elsa’s “Let It Go” flawlessly?
Make the special fairy tale magic come alive at the Princess Gala on Friday at the Meeker Fairgrounds 4-H building from 4-6 p.m.
The Meeker Traveling Dance Team is hosting the event, and the $15 admission (per child) includes a tea party, princess etiquette lesson, crafts, activities and photo sessions in a variety of preset scenes.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in their princess best. There will also be music and dancing in a magical ballroom and refreshments available as well as a “Princess Boutique” with a variety of fun princess paraphernalia available for purchase. Special guests will include Elsa, Tinkerbell, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Cinderella, Ariel and Esmerelda.
This event brings 15 young ladies of the Meeker Traveling Dance Team—Madeline Amack, Delenn Mobley, Shovannah Dade, Kendra Nelsen, Shelby Steele, Maddie Kummer, Savana May, Kallie McCain, Jennifer Kincher, Madison Kindler, Annalyse Amack, Tacy Crawford, Brynlee Williams, Riley Butler and Reese Miller—one step closer to fulfilling their own fairy tale dreams.
They have been invited to perform during the Texas Alamo Bowl in December in front of more than 70,000 spectators. The event will be televised, and although networks may or may not air the halftime show live, video will be available through YouTube and social media outlets.
Funds raised from the gala will go toward trip expenses, which come to about $1,200 per person.
