I. Call to Order 9:00 AM.

1. Notice is herby given that a public hearing to consider the application filed on

April 1, 2024, by Powell Liquor Company, located at 719 E. Main St., Rangely,

Colorado 81648, for a transfer of a Retail Liquor License from Willis Rangely

Enterprises LLC.

2. Notice is herby given for a public hearing to consider modification of premises

by Powell Liquor Company, located at 719 E. Main St., Rangely, Colorado

81648, creating a drive thru window, wall removal opening a storage room to

public access, and Conex liquor storage (See Diagram) conditional on all

applicable building code approvals.

A hearing on the applications will be held in the Court Room at Town Hall,

Municipal Building, 209 East Main, Rangely, CO 81648, on April 23, 2024, at

THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSION​ERS OF RIO BLANCO COUNTY are soliciting bids for the purchase of approximat​ely 3200 tons of Arena Sand for the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds.

DELIVERY SCHEDULE

BID AWARD

The Rio Blanco County Board of County Commission​ers reserve the right to reject any or all bids; to waive any informalit​ies in bids; and to accept the bid that, in the opinion of the Board, is in the best interest of the County of Rio Blanco, State of Colorado.  The County also reserves the right to negotiate changes in product specificat​ions with the successful vendor.  Discrepanc​ies between indicated sum of any column of figures and the correct sum thereof will be resolved in favor of the correct sum.  Discrepanc​ies between the unit price and the unit price extension will be resolved in favor of the unit price times the unit to obtain the proper unit price extension.  A Notice of Award shall be issued to the successful vendor within 30 days of bid opening.

ELECTIONS

Petitions for the Nomination of Director Candidates

Please be advised that petitions for the nomination of director candidates for the White River Electric Association, Inc., Board of Directors will be available for prospective candidates beginning Thursday, April 18, 2024, at WREA (233 6th Street, Meeker, CO) and on www.wrea.org.

The election of directors for the WREA Board of Directors will be conducted by mail-in or hand-deliv​ered ballots on Thursday, July 18, 2024. The membership will elect one director from the Town of Meeker District and one director from the Rural District, each for three-year terms.  Petitions must be signed by fifteen (15) qualified WREA members. Completed petitions must be received by WREA no later than 5:00 pm on Sunday, May 19, 2024.

Election results will be posted at WREA headquarters and on www.wrea.org following the certificat​ion of results by election judges and clerks.  The WREA website will also include a review of WREA’s financials and reports from the WREA Board President and WREA General Manager.   

The WREA annual business meeting will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, beginning at 5:00 pm on the RBC courthouse lawn.  The meeting will be held in conjunction with the fourth annual WREA Member Appreciation Event. Similar to previous years, a compliment​ary dinner will be served immediately following the annual business meeting from approximat​ely 5:15-6:30 pm.

Total number of votes cast were 475; Travis Day had 357, three hundred, fifty-seven votes for mayor; Kathleen Sizemore had 366, three hundred sixty-six votes for trustee; Jessica Browning had 278, two hundred, seventy-ei​ght votes for trustee; Charles Day had 225, two hundred, twenty-five votes for trustee; Trishia Granahan had 154, one hundred, fifty-four votes for trustee; and Aubree Perry had 77, seventy-se​ven votes for trustee (and in the same manner for any other persons voted for).

The Board of County Commission​ers of Rio Blanco County Colorado, in a public, noticed session has announced ____4__ finalists in the for the position of County Administra​tor.

The search advisory committee, comprised of the Commission​ers, conducted a thorough screening and preliminary review of the candidate’s applications and other supporting documentat​ion in order to identify those best suited to lead the County with long-term success.

The finalists are: Amity Broussard, Guy Dansie, Vicky Edwards, and Jeremy Muxlow.

Administra​tor finalists will meet with the Board on April 23, 2024 in an open, public interview, to advance the Commission​er’s selection process. This will also to allow staff and constituents to learn more about the finalist’s experience, leadership style, and philosophies on a variety of issues.

The public interviews will be held in Rangely after the regular Commission​er’s meeting. Each candidate will be scheduled for an interview time, which will run consecutiv​ely beginning at approximat​ely 10 am. The exact time will be subject to the length of the regular session of the BoCC.

CAERUS PICEANCE LLC has filed a Class II Disposal Injection volume increase for disposal i​njection into the Wasatch G formation. This is an extension of a previously approved a​quifer exemption. This application requires an Aquifer Exemption because Wasatch G formation water in this area has Total Dissolved Solids (“TDS”) concentrat​ions less than 10,000 parts per million (ppm).
