Ace Trucking, the defending champions were undefeated until last Thursday when they lost to Renniger Log Homes, ending the opportunity for the two undefeated teams to meet in the final game of the season.Renniger Log Homes needed an extra inning to beat the defending league champs but became the No. 2 seed with the win, placing the defending champs in the No. 3 spot on the bracket. Both Renniger Log Homes and Ace Trucking finished the regular season with 8-2 records.In games played Monday, Natural Soda ended the season for the Enforcers with a 19-2 win, advancing them to play the Rangely Merchants, who drew a first round bye. Pioneers Medical Center was eliminated by PBFD in the first round of the tournament, matching PBFD against Renniger Log Homes in the quarterfinals. Berry Brothers defeated ERBM Synergy 6-5 to advance to the quarterfinals against Ace Trucking and Rainbow Trout advanced to the semifinals with a 21-9 victory over Schindler Plumbing.Rangely advanced to the semifinals with a win over Natural Soda, then defeated Rainbow trout 11-3 to advance to the championship game, which was played Wednesday.On the other side of the bracket, Renniger Log Homes defeated PBFD 11-9 to advance to the semifinals, beat Berry Brothers, who defeated Ace Trucking by one run in the quarterfinals.The championship game between the Rangely Merchants and Renniger Log Homes was played after press time Wednesday.
