RANGELY | Rangely residents and visitors will celebrate Independence Day over the holiday weekend with “Summerfest” beginning on Friday with a surf-n-turf dinner at Cedar Ridges Golf Course at 6 p.m. followed by a free concert by six-member a capella music group Vocalocity.
Vocalocity is an a cappella singing group comprised of Amanda Tesch, Jake Tesch, Sara Burton, Ryan Brierly, Ethan Holliday and Scott Ostermiller. The all vocal band creates “rad harmony, gnarly beats and wicked sound” as they tour the nation on their Summer of A Capella tour.
More food and fun is on the way Saturday at Elks Park with the annual rib cook-off, pie baking contest and a cornhole tournament.
Try your hand at night golf Sunday, July 3 at Cedar Ridges, and wrap up the long weekend with July 4 fireworks over Kenney Reservoir at dusk.
