RBC | The Rio Blanco County Fair Board has implemented biosecurity measures for the 2020 Fair in regards to the rabbit show due to an outbreak of rabbit hemorrhagic disease in Colorado. In an effort to protect RBC, its exhibitor’s projects, and the species, the Fair Board has changed the rabbit show to a virtual show. Exhibitors will showcase their projects online through a virtual program and will compete in a virtual showmanship contest. Those exhibitors planning to showcase rabbits at the RBC Livestock Sale will continue to be sold as a premium exhibitor, however, no animal will be exchanged. RHVD2 is an extremely contagious viral disease that can affect both wild and domesticated rabbit populations. Currently there are no cases in Rio Blanco County.
