The county’s economic development department has set up an online survey to get feedback from county residents who will be affected by the anticipated Colowyo closure.
“It’s no secret that our energy industries are facing huge battles not only globally but within our own state,” said RBC Economic Development Director and Public Relations Coordinator Makala Barton via email. “Over the coming months and probably years, we will be having conversations with industry, community and government leaders and many times we are the representation and voice of the community members and businesses. It’s important to us that we spend time hearing directly from those that are impacted rather than making assumptions.”
The more responses collected, the better that representation will be.
“We plan to compile the information, analyze any trends that may arise and move forward from there,” Barton said.
The survey can be answered anonymously, with an option to share contact information voluntarily.
“Beyond the survey, we’d love to hear from any employees, business owners or community members that have additional comments or concerns,” Barton said.
Call 970-878-9582 or email [email protected] to reach the department.
