MEEKER I Jason Steiner of Meeker opened the Stage Stop Meat Market & Deli in 2006, but he passed on the keys this week to the David Satterwhite family of Craig.
The Satterwhites are well known as owners/operators of Brother’s Custom Processing. Brother’s offers a wide selection of meats, cheeses and their own award-winning custom smoked meat products as well as catering, and they will be adding a wide variety of products and services to the Meeker store.
Steiner said he wishes to thank all of Meeker for their loyal patronage over the past seven years.
“I will continue to operate Brother’s Stage Stop as acting manager for the new owners during the transition period and into the hunting season,” Steiner said.
Stage Stop will remain open through Friday, then will close for a major remodel to accommodate the many new products and services that will be added to the current store.
“We hope to open again in mid- to late May with the grand opening,” Steiner said. “We believe this is a very positive business that will continue to grow with Meeker, and we wish the Satterwhites much continued success in this endeavor.”
Stage Stop will be catering the Elks Foundation banquet on Saturday evening, and attendees are invited and encouraged to stop by the Brother’s table and welcome the Satterwhites to Meeker.
