Colorado’s presidential primaries operate as a mail-in system where registered voters receive a ballot by mail, allowing them to choose their preferred candidate for the presidential nomination. Both major political parties, Democrats and Republicans, participate in the primary, and voters affiliated with each party receive their respective ballots. Unaffiliated voters can select one party’s ballot but must return only that party’s ballot. The results determine each party’s delegates to the national convention based on proportional representation, with the goal of reflecting the voters’ preferences. Here are unofficial results from Super Tuesday, March 6.
