Becky Dunham, owner of Meeker General Mercantile, urges board members of the ERBM Recreation and Park District to reconsider the Range Call committee’s request for donated funding to support this year’s Range Call Celebration. Dunham was one of several business owners in attendance at Tuesday night’s meeting in response to a letter sent to businesses from the recreation district. According to Michael Weinbrecht, ERBM Recreation District executive director, the board rejected the proposal primarily due to statutory limits set forth by the state, but “they are looking for ways to help in 2013.” Paul Sheridan replied, “There may not be a 2013, sir.”
