More than 300 children from toddlers to 10-year-olds took part in the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Barone Middle School, sponsored by the Meeker Lions Club on Saturday. The siren was sounded by a Meeker Fire Department fire truck, and all the children were off at once, utilizing the different areas of the school yard for each age group. From start to finish, the 15-second event, accompanied by the Easter Bunny, brought smiles to the children and paretnts as few empty Easter baskets were seen at the end.
