Home of: Jim and Stacey Burke of Meeker

MEEKER | Jim and Stacey Burke of Meeker are this week’s “home of” honorees. Jim is a Meeker native. His parents are Dean and Fern Burke. Stacey has lived here since 1980. She is the daughter of Keith and Jana Whitaker. Jim and Stacey will celebrate 11 years of marriage in November.
Jim is a rancher. His family owns the Burke Brothers ranch on Piceance Creek. Stacey is a realty specialist for the BLM in Meeker.
The couple have two children: son Kale, 8, is a third-grader and daughter Makenna, 7, is a second-grader. Both attend Meeker Elementary School.
The family enjoys four-wheeling, fishing, boating, their animals and “anything outdoors.”
Stacey’s favorite things about Meeker are “the people, friends, family, small-town environment, rural lifestyle and being able to get out and enjoy the beauty of the area.”
