Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Hopefully you remembered the wearin’ o’ the green today.
A new movie about high school wrestling titled “Win Win” opens in theaters tomorrow, March 18. The film stars Paul Giamatti as a part-time wrestling coach and struggling lawyer. The young actor playing the part of one of the wrestlers went on in real life to win the New Jersey state wrestling title.
Tony Theos was interviewed by the Anchorage Daily News (Alaska) about the rising demand for wool and lamb meat and what that means for sheep ranchers. The article is entitled “Shear bliss for Colo. sheep farmers.”
Don’t miss Saturday’s Health and Wellness Expo, sponsored by the Meeker Chamber of Commerce. It starts at 10 a.m. in the elementary school gym.
Happy birthday this week to Linda Holeyfield, JR Crawford and Sharon Johnson, March 17; Georgann Amack, March 18; Terry Hood, March 19; Mike Joos, Misty Bolton, Sarah Welle, Donny McKee and Marjorie Shrode, March 20; Lee Light and Russell Posey, March 21; Lisa Piper and Pam Lopez, March 23.
