RANGELY | The West Slope Colorado Oil and Gas Association joined the Town of Rangely for the annual town betterment event that took place Friday, July 26. Employees from the Town of Rangely, Chevron, Summit Midstream, Utah Oil and Gas, Baker Hughes, Caerus Oil and Gas, DNOW, Swagelok and SPN Well Services gave of their time and resources for a beautification project at the east entrance to the Town of Rangely. This is the second annual Rangely Roundup to be hosted by The West Slope Colorado Oil and Gas Association.
“We like to give back to the communities where we work,” Susan Alvillar, a volunteer with The West Slope Colorado Oil and Gas Association, said. “We try to do something that we can get done in one day that makes a big difference.”
This was a one-day project with more than 30 people helping out to get the job done. They took out flagstone to level the ground then laid the flagstone back. They also took out old planter boxes and painted the gazebo next to the Rangely Museum.
