MEEKER | That’s a wrap on the 2020 Meeker Summer Rodeo Series season. Last Thursday some of the top cowboys and cowgirls in the series competed in the finals.
Over 30 bull riders showed up to compete for cash that had stacked up over the past couple weeks when no one was able to stay the eight seconds. Caleb Rubio, 19, from Elmo, Utah, took the bull riding prize money home from the Meeker Summer Rodeo Series finale last week. Rubio was the only bull rider to ride the full eight seconds.
There are two sets of results this week, the weekly winners and overall winners.
August 20 Weekly Winners:

Number 11 roping – Cody Edinger and Kash Atwood
Open breakaway – Jd Slagowski
Dally Ribbon Roping – Cody Edinger and Wyatt Coplen
Ladies breakaway – Katie Jo Knez
Number 8 roping – Sheridan Harvey and Kash Atwood
Mix pairs roping – RaeLynn Toon and JD Slagowski
Open team roping – Cody Edinger and Clay Adams
Bull riding – Caleb Rubio

The 2021 season is scheduled to begin next June.
