Rio Blanco County Public Health is reporting the second laboratory-confirmed case of COVID-19 in the county today.
“We affirm the individual has been appropriately isolated and instructed on COVID-19 self-care home recovery procedures. We are identifying and implementing additional precautionary measures to prevent further spread of the virus, including the notice and quarantine of close contacts with this case,” states the Tuesday afternoon press release.
RBC Public Health cannot say which side of the county the case is in, but contacts are in both towns and testing will be available for all close contacts in both Meeker and Rangely.
Rio Blanco County citizens are urged to remain vigilant and continue practicing social distancing along with other recommended protection measures.
