4-H livestock judging team travels to Sterling for contest

MEEKER | The Rio Blanco 4-H Livestock Judging Team traveled to Sterling, Colo., this weekend for the Sterling Invitational Livestock Judging Contest. There were 76 juniors divided into 22 junior teams and 35 seniors divided into 10 senior teams. As a team, Brennan, Kilduff, Moody and Smith performed very well, securing 12th high team in hogs, 12th high team in sheep and goat, ninth high team in cattle, sixth high team in reasons and 13th high team overall. Brennan placed 40th in hogs, fourth in sheep and goat, fifth in cattle, third in reasons and ninth overall. Kilduff placed 14th in hogs, 56th in sheep and goat, 17th in cattle, 33rd in reasons and 27th overall. Moody placed 72nd in hogs, 59th in sheep and goat, 54th in cattle, 62nd in reasons and 65th overall. Smith placed 48th in hogs, 41st in sheep and goat, 74th in cattle, 48th in reasons and 66th overall. These ladies performed exceptionally well as a team and had a great time on this trip together.
