Memorial services honoring the life of Nita Bourdette were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at Appleton Christian Church, 2510 I-70 Frontage Rd in Grand Junction, Colo.
Juanita was born Feb. 24, 1943, in Macon, Ga., to Clyde and Nancy Sutton and departed this life Jan. 29, 2009, in Bristow, Okla.
She is preceded in death by her mother, husband Loyd, and sister Shirley.
Survivors include her father, one brother, one sister, three daughters, two sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephew.
Nita had an amazing zest for life and cherished her family and friends. She enjoyed the outdoors, wildlife and nature of Colorado.
Her hobbies included painting, sewing, gardening and cooking.
For those who knew and loved her, Nita leaves a legacy of kindness, humor, courage, dignity and grace.
