Winter storms and cold, snow and ice are here, making it more challenging for letter carriers to deliver your mail.
We’re in your neighborhood six days a week in every kind of weather. When snow stacks up, it’s an extra challenge. We’re up to it but we could use your assistance. Here’s what you can do to help keep us safe.
• If you receive delivery of mail to a rural-type post or cluster mailbox, please clear the snow and ice around the mailbox to allow your carrier to drive up to the box, deposit mail and drive away.
• If your mail is delivered to a street-side mailbox, residence or business, please keep the path to your mailbox or mail slot clear of snow and ice.
Newspaper and other delivery personnel, meter readers, friends and family will also benefit from a safe and convenient path to your door or driveway.
The letter carriers and employees of the Meeker Post Office are committed to timely, efficient and safe delivery of your mail. The U.S. Postal Service greatly appreciates your support.
