Barbara L. Evenson, born in Gault, Calif., passed away on Jan. 8, 2011.
George and Barbara were married in 1936. They had three children: Garry, Roy and Gretta.
Barbara came to Rio Blanco County when she was a young girl to visit her grandparents who owned a ranch on Fawn Creek up the White River. Her grandfather built one of the first cabins at Trappers Lake.
Barbara and George worked on the Lewis Ranch for many years and raised their family there.
She loved to cook, grow beautiful flowers and be with her family.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Roy.
She is survived by two children, Garry Evenson (Bettie), Gretta Sheridan (Mark). Grandsons Steven and Brian, (great-grandsons Brian Jr. and David), Roy Jr. (Mindy), great-grandchildren Erika and Dylan, granÂddaughter Sherry (great-granddaughter Christina), grandson J.H., grandson Kelly (Denise), great-grandsons Daxter and Teagan.
