Bilodeau named new CNCC VP

RANGELY — Gene Bilodeau, long-time Craig resident and Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) employee, has been appointed vice president of administration for CNCC. Bilodeau previously held the dean of Craig campus position and has worked for the college since 1994.
Bilodeau holds a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from University of Montana and a master of education degree in counseling from Montana State University. Much of his early experience was in the field of mental health as a counselor. He worked as a counselor and taught social and behavioral sciences at Casper College in Wyoming before coming to Colorado Northwest-ern.
“I look forward to the new duties which will allow me to work more closely with the entire administrative function of Colorado Northwestern Community College,” Bilodeau said, “as well as the continued opportunity to work intimately with the Craig community.”
Bilodeau also looks forward to the completion of the first phase of the new CNCC Craig campus, which he will be very involved with. “To actually see the beginning stages of construction is very rewarding,” he explained. “The positive impact the new campus will have on the community is exciting. And I know the community is eager to see construction this year. Naming opportunities will be available and I trust our generous community will provide the necessary capstone support to complete these worthy projects. It is certainly a tremendous opportunity for me to be involved in such a dynamic, win-win process.”
Bilodeau’s appointment to vice president of administration is part of an overall restructuring of the CNCC’s organizational pattern that will address the long-range strategic plan and the mission of the college. John Boyd, CNCC president, explained that “Gene was the logical choice to move up into this position. Part of his role as VP of administration is facilities oversight, and he will play an integral role in the Craig campus build-out”
The Career and Technical Center project has already generated $2 million toward the $3 million price tag required for completion, and it will be one of three buildings serving as the cornerstone for the future build-out of the CNCC Craig campus.
