Letters To The Editor, Opinion

Letters to the Editor: December 11

Dear Editor,
This has been a great year for the Rangely Food Bank with the help of our volunteers: Linda, Lesley, Diane and Debbie. Thank you.
Donations from Chevron, EnCana, Shell, White River Market, First Baptist Church, Christian Church, Rangely Hospital, CNCC Dental Hygienists, Episcopal Church. Thank you.
Girl Scouts of America, The Rangely school children, the children in the First Baptist Church Bible class and the Post Office for going door to door collecting food. Thank you.
If I missed anybody I am sorry. Thank you.
Most of all I want to thank all the residents for making this such a wonderful place to live. Maybe we do not always agree with each other, but when there is a family in need, and word gets out the people come together to see how they can help. Thank you for letting me is a part of that for the last four years.
The food bank has plenty for canned goods, but still needs meat, paper goods, bath soap, dish soap, shampoo, hair conditioner and and laundry soap. We try to keep these things on hand because they are also needed for health reasons.
I will be going to Arizona this week because of my health problems. Arthritis has gotten the best of me and I can no longer stand the cold and the pain that it causes. I will remain active in the food bank from afar doing the grant applications, and tax applications that I am working on. The board members, Paula Davis, Debbie Skaggs and Lesley Nielson and volunteers will be handling the food box appointments. The phone numbers will be posted on the door of the food bank at 204 E. Rio Blanco Ave. and at town hall. Any questions please call 675-2627
I will miss everybody and will keep in touch once I get settled.
Sincerely
Darlene Feller

Dear Editor,
A big thank you to White River Electric and all the people that made the girls Cowboy Basketball Shootout a success. A very well-run tournament.
