Home of: Carl and Kelly Moomey

MEEKER | Carl and Kelly Moomey of Meeker are this week’s “home of” honorees. Carl is a Meeker native. His parents are longtime Meeker residents Jerry and Goldia Moomey. Kelly has lived in Meeker for 21 years. Her mother is Sharon Kohls of Craig. Carl and Kelly celebrated 25 years of marriage Nov. 22.
Carl is a 20-year employee of Colowyo Coal Company. He works as a dragline operator. Kelly is a delivery driver and counter person at Meeker Auto Parts. Kelly has worked there three years.
Carl and Kelly have three daughters: Megan McFadden, her husband Levi and 3-year-old daughter Alivia of Craig; Jordi Davis and husband Justin of Shamrock, Texas; and Codi Blakley and husband Richey of Garden City, Kans.
“We like to go hunting, fishing, take the four wheelers out and go camping. The reason most people live here”, Kelly said.
“I like the small town atmosphere of Meeker,” Kelly added.
