RANGELY I This year’s Rangely volleyball teams are doing amazing! Their first game against Craig went great for all four teams, where they all took home their first wins of the season. The seventh grade B team won in two matches. Kaylee Mecham served a surprising 25 serves in a row, winning the second match. The seventh grade A team also won their games. In the upstairs gym, both eighth grade teams crushed the Bulldogs, both playing phenomenal games.
The next round of games played by the Rangely Panther volleyball teams was in Meeker where they won three of four games. The seventh B team won, but sadly, the seventh grade A team lost to the Cowboys. Both the eighth grade teams had great games, both beating Meeker in the first two games.
The games against Steamboat had the same turnout. Sept. 22 was another great game for the Panthers. Although both seventh grade teams lost, the eighth grade teams took vengeance on the Sailors winning both of their games. Katye Allred served 22 serves winning the first match for the eighth grade A team, which set the tone for the games that followed.
As of now the record for the middle school lady Panthers is 2-2 for the seventh grade B team, seventh grade A team is 1-3 and both the eighth grade teams are 4-0. All the teams are hoping to keep up the great work this year and take districts by storm.
