Costa Rica presentation today at 7 p.m.
MEEKER | Meeker High School students who participated in the leatherback turtle conservation program in Costa Rica last summer will report on their experiences in a presentation today at 7 p.m. in the Meeker Public Library. The event is free to the public. We invite anyone who is interested and especially those who have supported the Meeker International Ecology Program. Dessert will be provided.

FREE winter coats
MEEKER | Meeker Ministerial Alliance and Love INC are giving away free winter coats Saturday, Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fairfield Center, Third and Main streets, in Meeker. Anyone needing a coat may come and get one coat free (one coat per person). Parents may pick up coats for their children. Sponsor a child for Christmas
MEEKER | If you would like to sponsor a child for Christmas through The Giving Tree, an ornament can be picked up at Meeker Drugs. Gifts purchased need to be returned to the United Methodist Church no later than Dec. 1. Thank you for your support!

“Seussical Jr.” musical Friday, Saturday
MEEKER | The third annual Meeker youth drama production of “Seussical Jr.” will take place Friday, Nov. 16, at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. at the Meeker High School auditorium. Tickets may be purchased on or before Thursday, Nov. 15 at the Meeker Recreation Center for $4 each/all ages or at the door Friday, Nov. 16 from 5-6 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 17 from 2-3 p.m. for $5 each/all ages. Tickets will not be sold at the MRC after Nov. 15. “Seussical Jr.” is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza of fun for the whole family!

RBC commissioners making appointments
RBC | Rio Blanco County Commissioners will be making appointments or reappointments to the following local boards during the month of January 2013: RBC Planning Commission, RBC Fairgrounds Management, RBC Fair Board, RBC Weed Management Advisory Committee, Council on Aging, RBC Lodging Tax Board, Columbine Park Advisory Committee, RBC Historic Preservation Advisory Board, Rangely Regional Library District, Meeker Regional Library District. If you are interested in serving on any of the listed boards or would like to be reappointed to a board you are currently serving on, please send a letter of interest to the Board of Commissioners, Box I, Meeker, Colo., 81641, by Dec. 31, 2012.
