Letter to the Editor: Community asset

Dear Editor:
I would like to thank Meeker Police Department Officer Wes Severson for rescuing my mother when she fell outside her house. He was driving by her house on a rainy, windy evening when he saw her waving him down. He stopped, put his coat over her and called the ambulance. He stayed with her until the ambulance crew arrived. A day or so later he stopped by her house to check up on her. When he didn’t find her there, he went to the hospital to see her. It has been several months since her fall, but he still checks up on her to see how she is doing. He is truly an asset to this community.
