Rules to limit drilling impacts final

RBC I The Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission gave final approval to the strongest rules in the country for limiting the impact of drilling near residences and other occupied buildings. Today’s final approval by a vote of 8 to 1 follows the commission’s preliminary vote to approve on Jan. 9. The new rules will take effect Aug. 1, 2013.
