Child killed in UTV accident

MEEKER I Seven-year-old Angelo Theos of Meeker was killed in an utility terrain vehicle rollover accident approximately 12 miles northeast of Meeker off County Road 11 on Tuesday evening.
The Rio Blanco Sheriff’s Office (RSBO) reported a call at the county communications center at 6:55 p.m. reporting the accident, which occurred on private ranch property.
According to a press release from the RBSO, the victim was initially pinned underneath the four-seater vehicle.
The victim was reportedly not breathing and had no pulse after being pulled from underneath the UTV, the release stated, adding that the victim was transported to Pioneers Medical Center in Meeker, where he was pronounced dead.
The parents of the victim are Willy and Molly Theos of Meeker.
