Abestos abatement work begins with CNCC’s Rector Building

A HAZMAT crew is working on cleaning up the Rector Building on the campus of Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely. The full HAZMAT suit is required because of the presence of asbestos, which must be removed before the reconstruction/remodel of the Rector Building, one of the earlier buildings on the campus.RANGELY I For the first three weeks of August, Armando Lopez and his team from Elite Environmental Services will be doing asbestos abatement and demolition to clear the area of the last portions of asbestos in the Rector Building on the Colorado Northwestern Community College campus in Rangely.
The scope of the initial work is to remove the majority of drywall, ceiling tiles, utilities, floor tiles and any fittings that may contain traces of asbestos.
