Couple new to staff at CNCC

RANGELY I Ryan and Robyn Wilson joined the staff of Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely in March.
Ryan splits his time between instructional technology and teaching students in history and computer technology while Robyn is the advising and intervention specialist as well as a yoga instructor.
Ryan has a B.S. degree in advertising from the University of Texas at Austin, and dual master’s degrees in education and history from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.
A former high school teacher, Ryan joined the teaching profession later in life. He began his professional career as a creative copywriter for an advertising firm in Denver, then left the profession in 2001 to join Robyn in El Salvador during her last months as a volunteer for the U.S. Peace Corps.
Working and traveling through Central America gave Ryan an appreciation for the kindness and generosity of Latin Americans, and served as the impetus for returning to school to study Latin American history and education. Most recently, Ryan served as marketing director for the Wilkinson Public Library in Telluride, Colo.
Robyn has a bachelor’s degree in international business from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and dual master’s degrees in bilingual and multicultural education and sustainable communities from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.
Although a Wisconsin native, Robyn served as a Peace Corps volunteer in El Salvador. She has also lived in Winter Park, Flagstaff and Telluride and she considers the Western Slope “home.”
In Telluride, Robyn was executive director of an adult education non-profit organization that partnered with CNCC, and that recruited the couple to Rangely. Robyn is thrilled to assist students with their career and educational goals and to work at CNCC.
The Wilsons enjoy outdoor-adventures activities, wandering the world and creating memories to remember each day of their lives.
There is also a good chance that you will see Robyn practicing yoga and teaching permaculture design throughout the Western Slope.
