MEEKER | Parenting is a tough job. At 6 p.m. this Thursday, Feb. 10, at Meeker High School, join speaker Brooks Gibbs for a free seminar for tips on raising socially savvy, emotionally resilient, happy and friendly kids.
Gibbs, a social psychologist and “passionate advocate for resilience education,” will share “simple solutions for solving complex problems like bullying, sibling rivalry, meltdowns, anger, disrespect, motivation, mental health and more.”
“What is at the root of most childhood behavioral problems? Perfectionism, approval addiction, and a handful of irrational demands. Cure a child of these and most of their social and emotional problems are solved,” states GIbbs’ website.
