Conservation district river committee meeting Mar. 30
RBC | The Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) of the White River Conservation District will be meeting on Wednesday, March 30 at the Rio Blanco Fire Protection Building in Meeker. The meeting will run from 6-8 p.m. The PAC will be updated on the projects generated from the Diversion and Riparian Assessments, review the proposed outline for the Phase II report, and discuss the priority projects for Phase III of the Water Initiative.
Livestock watering facility funding
RBC | Landowners and Public Land Permittees: the White River and Douglas Creek Conservation Districts are offering a stipend to landowners/permittees within the Conservation Districts to implement projects to maintain and/or improve livestock watering facilities (including ponds), during this extended drought period. Landowners/permittees are eligible to apply for up to four projects.
Applications for this funding are a short two-page document. Completed applications will be approved on a first come, first served, basis pending funding availability that has been secured through grants. The respective district board will review and make the final decisions on application approval at monthly board meetings.

Library book club
MEEKER | The book club will be reading “Homegoing” by Yaa Gyasi. We will discuss the book on Monday, April 11 at 1 p.m. at Meeker Public Library. All are welcome to join in the fun.
