MEEKER I We started our meeting Sunday, April 10 at 4 p.m. First we did the pledges. They were led by Cambrey Rogers, Milo Brennan, Rylan Ivy and Brodee Kilduff. Following was our secretary’s report by Charlie Rogers and Hadley Franklin on the budget update. After that was a fun Ice Breaker. You take your shoes off and put them in front of you. Then Tatum Kennedy called something out and if you have that you have to find a different pair of shoes. If you didn’t find a pair of shoes you were out. The whole point of the Ice Breaker was to be comfortable being uncomfortable. We then did a mini budget lesson. For example, our group had a pig. We had to figure out expenses, income and if you made or lost profit.
Following were demonstrations: Eli and Dylan Runburg on cow by-products, Ladree Tate on Australian shepherds, Jaicee Simmons on lamb cuts, Josh Simmons on goat cuts, Klayton Carroll on pig ear notches, Brayden Raley on sore mouth and Jewell and Jackson McPherson on breeds of sheep.

June 27 poultry, rabbit weigh in 5-7 p.m.

Community Pride project opportunity:
April 11 stuffing Easter eggs with the Lions Club at the Exhibit Hall at 4 p.m.
