Wolf advisory group meeting in Meeker

MEEKER | The CO Wolf Stakeholder Advisory Group will be meeting in Meeker on April 27-28 at the Rio Blanco Fairgrounds. We highly encourage you and your neighbors to attend and, if you’re interested, present comments on agenda topics. It will be helpful if we are well represented by our landowners and community to show that we are well vested in the health of our economy and livelihoods here in NW Colorado and that the placement of wolves in our area could have severe impacts. The public comment session is scheduled for April 28 at 11 a.m. To give your comments, you will sign up at the door (first come, first served, no registration required) and have three minutes to present your comments which must be pertinent to the agenda. This is not a debate about wolf reintroduction, this is a proactive discussion about ways to mitigate the potential impacts of wolves when they arrive. For more information on the meeting and to see the agenda visit https://www.wolfengagementco.org/advisory-groups.

Meeker book club May 9

MEEKER | The book club will be reading “The Bad-Ass Librarians of Timbuktu” by Joshua Hammer. We will discuss the book on Monday, May 9 at 1 p.m. All are welcome to join in the fun.
