Limeade fundraiser at Nana Goose

MEEKER | Blake Rubin’s limeade stand is returning to 590 Main St. (in front of Nana Goose) on Thursday, June 2 from 12-4 p.m. It’s the fifth year for Rubin’s endeavor, and this year all proceeds to the Walbridge Wing for garden flowers in memory of his “G.G.” Nettie Modlin.

Mustang Makeover clinic June 4

RBC | Join us at a “BACK ON TRACK” Clinic by local Steve Mantle, one of the country’s top mustang trainers Saturday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the RBC Fairgrounds. Audit $10 for the day, 12 & under free. Steve Mantle will be working with the Meeker Mustang Makeover trainers individually, with yearlings and with three year olds to assess current progress as they hit roadblocks and answer questions. Republican party hosting forums

RBC | The Rio Blanco County Republican Party is hosting two candidate forums. In Meeker the forum will be held at the Fairfield Center at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8. The candidate forum in Rangely will be held at the Rangely High School auditorium at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 9.

Free legal clinic

MEEKER | The next free legal self-help clinic for parties without an attorney is Wednesday, June 8 from 2-5 p.m. Contact the Meeker Library at 970-878-5911 to be added to the sign-up sheet. Volunteer attorneys will assist one-on-one via computer link. Space is limited.

Rangeland monitoring workshop

RBC | Spend the morning of June 11 learning the new BLM requirements for monitoring grazing permits and how to use three simple monitoring methods: photo point, line point intercept, landscape appearance monitoring (LAM); followed by an afternoon of hands-on training guided by the NRCS, Forest Service and BLM. $20 per person at the door, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Piceance Creek Rock School House on June 11. Comments on land use plan due

RBC | The White River and Douglas Creek Conservation Districts and Rio Blanco County (County) are updating the Land and Natural Resources Plan and Policies (LUP) from 2016. The Districts and County are seeking Rio Blanco County citizens input on the updates. Please review the LUP updates by going to www.whiterivercd.com and provide your input by June 15, 2022 as noted on the website. June book club

MEEKER | The book club will be reading “Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant” by Anne Tyler. We will discuss the book on Monday, June 13 at 1 p.m. All are welcome to join in the fun.
