We all know it is hard to “find” time to conduct monitoring of the rangeland. But what if monitoring could be made so simple that you could do it while you are moving cows from pasture to pasture?
Rangeland monitoring tells the story of what is happening on the ground. Monitoring is becoming more and more critical during these times of drought and increased pressures from other interest groups. It is important to have evidence of good range management and to identify where things can improve.
The White River and Douglas Creek Conservation Districts, BLM, NRCS, and USFS are all joining together to host a workshop providing ranchers with the simple tools (that you carry daily) and processes for rangeland monitoring. It is so simple; you can do it while moving cows.
