Dillon takes CFO position at Rangely Dist. Hospital

RANGELY — For the past six years, Jim Dillon has been a math teacher in the Rangely area schools — from grade school to CNCC. He has now accepted the position of chief financial officer at Rangely District Hospital and he brings an assortment of experience with him. Originally from Montrose, Colo., he enlisted in the U.S. Army during high school and went into the medical corps and trained to be field medic, where he served for several years. Utilizing the G.I. Bill, he pursued a higher education that eventually led to a master’s of business administration from the University of Chicago. He began his career at the headquarters of International Harvester, where he worked his way up to manager of business analysis and forecasting. His career path lead him to other management positions with Montgomery-Ward Company and then Newman & Associates.
Dillon stated that even with this experience, his most unexpectedly rewarding time was spent teaching at Rangely Middle School, helping young people explore the basics of mathematics.
