Northwest Solar Co-Op one step closer to bringing solar to region

The Northwest Solar Co-op, open to residents and small businesses in Routt, Moffat and Rio Blanco counties, has selected Atlasta Solar Center to install solar panels for the 82-member group. Co-op members selected Atlasta Solar Center after a careful vetting process. The group will hold its final public information session on Monday, Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. online to educate the community about solar and the co-op process.

“Atlasta Solar Center looks forward to bringing our 43 years of experience and expertise to the Northwest Solar Co-op members,” said Chris Campbell, Co-Owner and Director of Project Management with Atlasta Solar Center. “We look forward to getting to know each member and their specific needs and goals to deliver exceptional service and customer focused experience for one of the most rewarding home and business improvements that will exceed expectations for decades.”

Solar United Neighbors expands access to solar by educating residents and small businesses in Routt, Moffat and Rio Blanco counties about the benefits of distributed solar energy and helping them organize group solar installations.

Co-op members selected Atlasta Solar Center because of their competitive pricing, high customer satisfaction and experience installing in the region.

“I am excited to work with Atlasta to get a quote for a solar system for new construction,” said Sarah Loughran, a solar co-op member who served on the selection committee. “I appreciate having participated in the vendor selection process and the support of Solar United Neighbors as I go through the process of going solar.”

The co-op is open to new members until Sept. 2. Northwest Colorado residents interested in joining the co-op can sign up at the solarunitedneighbors.org/northwest.

“We’re thrilled by the thoughtful participation of co-op members in the installer review process guided by Solar United Neighbors,” said Winnie DelliQuadri, Special Projects and Intergovernmental Services Manager for Steamboat Springs. “We’re excited to see how much co-op members can save on their solar systems and how quickly they can start saving on their energy bills. We hope the solar co-op continues to make going solar more affordable and accessible for Northwest residents.”

The solar co-op is free to join and joining the co-op is not a commitment to purchase panels. Atlasta Solar Center will provide each co-op member with an individualized proposal based on the group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, members can save on the cost of going solar and have the support of fellow group members and solar experts at Solar United Neighbors.
