MEEKER I On April 23, Meeker Police Department received the first of several reported thefts and burglaries to storage sheds and residences involving elk and/or deer antlers.
Meeker police officers contacted businesses in outlying towns that may have purchased antlers by the pound.
Meeker police officers Jim Amick and Wes Severson worked with Moffat, Delta and Montrose counties and the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office.
Severson issued arrest warrants on charges of alleged second degree burglary, theft and criminal mischief to Desiree Horns and Trevor Wilson, both of Delta, Colo.
Bond was set at $116,000 for each.
According to a press release from the Meeker Police Department on Monday, Horn has bonded out and Wilson remains in custody in Montrose.
