Two wins for RHS baseball

RHS catcher Kobey Chism was a “standout player” in the Grand Valley game.

RANGELY | The Rangely Panthers baseball team enjoyed a successful outing last week, capturing two solid wins against Grand Valley on April 23. Dominating the scoreboard, the Panthers won 17-1 and 18-5 in a doubleheader. Their batting was particularly impressive in the first game, hitting an average of .520.

Standout players included senior Kobey Chism, who hit perfectly in the first game and maintained a strong .600 in the second, and sophomore L. Bollinger, who drove in five runs in the opening game. The team demonstrated their batting depth, with contributions across the lineup.

On April 26, facing Nucla, the Panthers won the first game 5-4 but fell 9-12 in the second amidst challenging weather conditions. Despite the mixed results, the team showed grit and determination throughout.

These games highlight the Panthers’ strong form this season, showcasing both their offensive power and resilience under pressure.
