Obituary – Thomas Flynn Galloway

June 18, 1968 ~ June 28, 2024

Thomas Flynn Galloway was born June 18, 1968, to Freal and Norma Galloway in Rocky Ford, Colorado.  He was welcomed by older brother Tim.  

Tom spent the early part of his life in Fowler, Colorado, where he made many friends and memories.  The family moved to Rangely in December 1984. Tom was a valuable member of Rangely High School’s football team, earning both All-Conference and All-State Honors.  He was Prom King and graduated in 1987. He attended Adams State College and played football. But his college football career was ended by a nerve injury.

He returned to Rangely where he was first employed by Ben Long Contracting and then later with W.J. Oilfield Service. He was a valuable and much-loved employee. Tom married Ruby Thompson Bell in May 1994 and they later divorced.

Phoenix, Arizona became Tom’s next stop.  He worked and became superintendent at Benhart Landscaping where he was employed until he was diagnosed with cancer.  

Tom met and married Collette Baca on May 28, 2022.  They along with their dog Finnegan, had a warm and comfortable home.  

Tom was proud of his Irish/Scottish ancestry and lived every day to its fullest.

Tom is survived by his wife Collette, dog Finnegan and his brother Tim of Rangely.  He was preceded in death by both his mother and father and several close friends.
