Free community appreciation BBQ this Sunday
MEEKER | 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 at Watt’s Ranch Market. Ribbon cutting with the Meeker Chamber of Commerce at noon. Live music by 8th Street Pickers. Prizes, giveaways, free swag, great food, hot deals. Hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, coleslaw, chips and beverages. BBQ attendees are encouraged NOT to park on Highway 13. Look for parking signs if the lot is full.
Free concert at The TANK Sept. 21
RANGELY | Composer Alan Mackwell with Jordan Grantonic (violin), Emma Reynolds (viola) and Peyton Magalhaes (cello) will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21 at The TANK in Rangely. The free concert is presented by The TANK in collaboration with the Atlas B2 Center for Media Arts and Performance at CU Boulder.
Registration open for 23rd annual Colorado Snow and Avalanche Workshop
RBC | Every year, hundreds of avalanche professionals from around the state descend on Breckenridge for the annual Colorado Snow and Avalanche Workshop (CSAW). CSAW is the state’s premier educational event for avalanche industry workers and advanced recreationalists and is hosted by the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC) and Friends of CAIC. This year, the event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 18. Early bird registration for $35 is now open at Support.FriendsofCAIC.org/CSAW for the 23rd annual CSAW. Registration increases to $45 on Oct. 1.
