Non-lethal Wolf Conflict Reduction Training Nov. 4
MEEKER | You are invited to an upcoming interagency training session on Nov. 4 in Meeker. The main focus of this training is to educate the public and producers on effectively handling encounters with wolves. Community Open House Nov. 5
MEEKER | Join the Meeker Chamber of Commerce, representatives from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs for a Community Open House at the Meeker Library from 4-6:30 p.m. to learn about Uplift Meeker and the Josephine Project. We need your input on future projects and ideas for connectivity, placemaking and revitalization. Help guide the future of Main and Market streets!
Archery practice shoots start Nov. 7
MEEKER | The Meeker Sportsman’s Club is hosting indoor archery practice shoots beginning Thursday, Nov. 7 from 6-8 p.m. through the winter (except Thanksgiving) in the 4-H building at the RBC Fairgrounds. Practice and have some fun! Bring your own bow, arrows, paper target and pins. Targets may be available for purchase. $10 per person for non-members of the Meeker Sportsman’s Club, $5 per person for members. Kids 16 and under shoot free. Meeker Library Book Club Nov. 11
MEEKER | The Meeker Public Library book club is reading “Brave the Wild River” by Melissa L. Sevigny. We will meet to discuss the books at the Meeker Public Library on Monday, Nov. 11, at 1 p.m. Extra copies are available for check out at the library if you would like to join in the fun.
