RANGELY | The Rangely Lady Panthers stormed their way to victory at the Western Slope Winter Classic, securing the championship title with a dominant performance over DeBeque and Dove Creek.
The Rangely Lady Panthers kicked off the Western Slope Winter Classic with a resounding victory over DeBeque, winning 64-33. The team’s offensive prowess was on full display, with multiple players contributing to the scoring effort.
Miah Wren and Ashlynn Ducey led the charge, each scoring 24 points. Aubrianna Tapia added 6 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Emmeree Wagner contributed 5 pooints, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. TyLee Fielder and Addison Scott rounded out the scoring with 3 points each.
With this impressive performance, the Lady Panthers have set the tone for the tournament and will look to continue their winning ways against Dove Creek in the championship game, which is what happened winning 69-41.
Led by Miah Wren, the Panthers showcased both offensive firepower and defensive tenacity throughout the tournament.
Wren tallied an impressive 29 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, and a staggering 10 steals in the championship game. Her all-around performance was instrumental in sealing the win for the Lady Panthers.
Ashlynn Ducey also played a pivotal role, contributing 14 points, 12 steals, and 7 assists. Addison Scott and Aubrianna Tapia added 10 points each, while Emmeree Wagner, Miley Chism, and Natalie Bollinger chipped in with 2 points apiece.
With this victory, the Lady Panthers improved their record to 4-0 and will now head to the Rye Tournament this weekend.
