Cricket abatement planning for 2025 gets underway; public meeting in Feb.

MEEKER | Local and regional officials met in December to discuss plans for Mormon cricket abatement in 2025. In 2024, aerial spraying was added to the use of bait on the ground in an effort to mitigate the cricket population. The plan for 2025 will be similar, with changes to funding and expenses. A public meeting is planned in February by the Conservation Districts to provide further information.
