CARDBOARD DERBY DAY!

This year’s cardboard derby at Paintbrush Park, sponsored by the Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan and Park District, had a lot less gravity-power and a lot more parent-power, thanks to a shortage of snow on the hill traditionally used for the event. Instead, families braved below-zero temperatures Saturday to push or pull their cardboard creations across the baseball field.
