This time of year I enjoy violently ripping the January page off the calendar, wadding it up, and throwing it away. I know there are seven months of the year that have 31 days but January’s 31 feel more like 62.

Our talented historian/genealogist Ed Peck wrote a history piece this week about Groundhog Day, which is Feb. 2 (Saturday). It’s always fascinating to see how the holiday we celebrate have been absorbed and reinvented by each successive culture throughout history.
Also of note, are you ready for Valentine’s Day? We’re hosting a contest, with prizes, with three categories. All you need to do to enter is click here and fill out the Google form. Nominate yourself or someone else!
