Library book club

MEEKER | The Meeker Public Library book club is reading All You Have To Do Is Call by Carrie Maher. We will meet to discuss the book at the Meeker Public Library on Monday, March 10, at 1 p.m.  Extra copies are available for check out at the library if you would like to join in the fun. New members are always welcome!

2025 Mormon Cricket Control Program open public meetings in February

RBC | Meetings are from 6-7:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 in Rangely at 500 Kennedy Dr. and Feb. 20 in Meeker at 240 7th St. Discussion points include: What to do if you spot a cricket, Early hatch control, District aerial spray cost-share program, County cost-share program (bait), Requirements/Reimbursements, and Educational materials. 

Parents’ Night Out Feb. 14

MEEKER | Bring your kids to enjoy ERBM Recreation & Park District’s showing of Gnomeo and Juliet while you sneak away to enjoy a Valentine’s date at a local restaurant! 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the 4H Community Building. Cupid’s Pool Party Feb. 14

Join us at the Meeker Recreation Center Pool for inflatables and fun crafts this Valentine’s Day! 10:15 a.m. to noon. All ages welcome. Regular MRC fees and all pool rules apply. Find fees and rules at erbmrec.com/pool

Help 4-H members prepare for project demonstrations Feb. 18

MEEKER | The community is invited for a fun night of learning. Come visit demonstration stations where 4-H members will give you a 5 minute presentation on their project and you get the opportunity to ask questions. This is a fun way to support our local youth and help them develop public speaking skills. RBC Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall #1 on Feb. 18 from 6-7 p.m.

Slow cooker classes coming in March

MEEKER | Meeker UMC Slow-Cooker Class – Learn to make delicious, healthy, inexpensive meals with ease! Join us March 2 (noon), March 12 (6 p.m.), and April 6 (noon) at St. James’ Episcopal Church in Richards’ Hall, 368 4th St., Meeker. $10 total for all three classes, scholarships available. Mother Daughter Tea February 22

MEEKER | Mothers and daughters of all ages, bring your special teacups and join ERBM Recreation & Park District for a tea party Saturday, February 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Fairfield Center. New this year, wear a fancy hat or crown – prizes will be handed out for the most creative! $10/person for pre-registration. Register at erbmrec.com/tea

Tiny Open Gym Tuesdays and Thursdays

MEEKER | Bring your toddlers to burn off some energy at ERBM Recreation & Park District’s Tiny Open Gym! Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Admin Building, 555 Garfield Street. Participation of parent/caregiver required. Max 3 children per parent/caregiver. ERBM Recreation & Park District Punch Pass required to participate. Cost: $1/person/use. Hunter education class March 7-9

MEEKER | ERBM Recreation & Park District and Colorado Parks & Wildlife are hosting a hunter education class March 7-9. Learn safe firearm handling and obtain your required hunter safety card. $35 per person.
