Diane Elizabeth Wise

July 11, 1953 ~ Feb. 17, 2025

Diane Elizabeth Wise passed away on Feb. 17, 2025 at the age of 64. Diane was a long time resident of Fort Collins, Colorado. Her tall stature and glowing red hair captured the attention of everyone, young and old. This notable quality did not overshadow her vivacious nature. She could always draw a room together with fun, laughter and love. She loved her family and her animals fiercely. If you knew her, she was your friend. She had an uncanny ability to draw unlikely people together and make community wherever she went. Diane dedicated her life to serving others. For 40 years she went above and beyond, selflessly serving the geriatric population in Fort Collins, keeping them independent and living their full lives as long as possible. Diane was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many.

In her life, Diane did what many called impossible. With her mother as co-pilot, they beat canoe instructors in races, she drove her Toyota Corolla where many 4WD vehicles would never dare, and she routinely took her 90-year-old clients on adventures to Estes Park. She played basketball through junior college and kept the mentality of overcoming obstacles throughout her life.

Although Diane is gone, we will hold and celebrate her in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her son, Greg Wise; mom, Geraldene Camera; brother, Mark Stephan; sisters, Deborah Hindi and Claudia Stout; and many nephews and a niece, grandnephews and grandnieces.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tony Wise; father, Jim Code; grandparents, Claude and Genevieve Nay; and sister Dena Day.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 12 at 11 a.m. at City Park (shelter #7, south of ballfields) in Fort Collins, Colorado.
