RBC | The Rio Blanco Cattlewomen have had a busy and rewarding spring season, continuing our mission to promote and educate about the beef industry in our community.
In April, we partnered with the local FFA chapter to participate in Farm Day at the elementary school. Cattlewomen engaged students with an interactive presentation on beef byproducts and beef cuts, featuring our trusty teaching tools—“Rounder” the wooden steer and our informative byproducts board. The students were enthusiastic learners, and it was a great day of hands-on education and fun.
On May 7, we hosted our annual Mother’s Day promotion at Watt’s Ranch Market. Shoppers were treated to delicious beef meatballs served with a variety of dips, and we had the pleasure of connecting with many members of our community. The event concluded with a giveaway of two $50 beef gift certificates—graciously donated by Watt’s Ranch Market—and two beef-themed swag bags.
A big thank-you goes to Summer at Watt’s Ranch Market for sponsoring our event and for supporting local beef promotion efforts. We’re proud to share the story of beef and look forward to more opportunities to engage with our neighbors throughout the year.
